Clean

Keeping our sidewalks and streets clean is a District priority. Our Clean Team scours the district seven days a week, twelve hours a day to ensure that our neighborhood remains clean and attractive.

Cleaning
Supplementing the services provided by the Metro Departments of PublicWorks, our crews sweep the sidewalks and alleys every day starting at 7:00 AM. They work until 10:00 PM Monday through Saturday, and until 3:30 PM on Sunday. After events like Thunder Over Louisville the Clean Team may work overtime.

Graffiti Removal
The clean team also removes illegal signage and flyers and removes graffiti from property in the district.

Weed Removal
During the spring and summer months, the clean team sprays weeds on sidewalks in the district and removes the dead remnants.

Flower Pot Watering
LDMD's Flower Pot program currently has 100 flower pots on sidewalks in the district. The Clean Team is in charge of watering these pots with our flower-watering rig.

Powerwashing
During the spring and summer, the team powerwashes the sidewalks in the district on a regular basis.

Gumbusting
LDMD's Gumbuster removes gum from sidewalks in the district.

Snow Removal
Throughout the winter, the LDMD team clears the district's intersections of snow and ice.

Miscellaneous
After windstorms and ice storms the Clean Team assists Public Works in removing branches and trees from the sidewalks and streets in the district.
